FREE Information Session
Laser Vision Correction is not for everyone and we pride ourselves
in our screening procedures. Patients are invited to attend
a complimentary, one-on-one information session with one of
our Clinical Advisers to discuss:
- Your eye-wear prescription suitability
- The procedures
- Result guidelines
- Recovery times
- Complications and side effects
- Fees
- Our 5 year vision commitment
- Pre-operative procedure and post-operative procedures
- Any questions you may have.
Following the information session, you may attend a complimentary
Pre-operative Assessment. It must be completely understood that
a laser vision correction procedure at the Adelaide Eye and
Laser Centre is only ever undertaken following a comprehensive
pre-operative assessment. During this assessment you will see
our eye surgeon Dr Peter Ingham, together with our clinical
optometrist and technical staff.
Contact us by phoning 1300 366 564 to secure
your obligation free Information Session and receive a free
Refractive Surgery Guide booklet.
Pre-operative Assessment
This appointment will determine your suitability for the procedure.
It will also determine the technique the surgeon will use and
the exact laser treatment required for each eye.
Hard contact lenses must not be worn for 3 weeks and soft contact
lenses for 5 days prior to the assessment. Glasses can be worn
during this time and hard contact lens wearers can swap over
to soft contact lenses for two weeks and then leave these out
for one week if that is more convenient. Our Clinical Adviser
will confirm these arrangements with you. This is necessary
to achieve accurate results, which then impact on surgical results.
The Pre-operative Assessment is usually performed one week
prior to surgery. If testing is done more than 6 months before
surgery it will be necessary to do a refraction check prior
to the procedure.
What is involved?

near
