Doctor/Patient Liaison Coordinator
Adelaide Eye and Laser Centre are looking for an experienced administration professional to join our administrative team. The Doctor/Patient Liaison Coordinator will be a patient facing administrative role providing support and guidance to patients in a polite, professional and friendly manner. This person will need to provide support to Doctors and Optometrists by coordinating appointments, the management of accounts and schedules, and ensuring a positive experience for patients.
Duties will include:
- Creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients
- Patient reception – including answering patient telephone enquiries
- Coordinating and booking patient appointments
- Processing of patient payments
- Coordinating theatre bookings and preparing theatre documentation
- Performing patient online patient verifications and health fund eligibilities
- Liaising with doctors with regard to schedules, theatres availability and other
- Analysing of schedule and appointments
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the doctor, medical personnel, patients, and external partners
Qualifications:
- Previous medical administrative experience is advantageous but not essential. All formal training will be provided on the job.

- Participate in the implementation of medical record policies
- Support other administration areas within the hospital
