Cataract Surgery is for people whose vision is impaired by cataracts.
Our staff are always available to discuss any further questions you may have or to arrange a pre-operative assessment for you to see the clinical optometrist and surgeon.
Not all people are suitable for laser surgery and a thorough examination with an Ophthalmologist is necessary to determine suitability, however, there are some general guidelines and questions which can provide an initial indication of suitability. Take the suitability test and take your first step to a clearer brighter future.
We understand that having eye laser surgery is an important decision and that you may have questions about the procedure, your immediate recovery and what you can expect in the days, weeks and months after surgery. We have answered as many as we can here.
You may have noticed some changes at our centre recently.
The day hospital facility is now called ParkView Day Surgery and new signage has been installed. However, AE&LC is still operating out of these rooms so please present to the ParkView Day Surgery reception for your appointments with us and you are able to make use of car parks designated for Parkview Day Surgery when you attend.
AE&LC and ParkView Day Surgery are working to protect our patients and staff in response to the SA COVID READY PLAN coming into effect.
For the safety of all we ask that you provide proof of your COVID vaccination status or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours prior to your appointment at Adelaide Eye & Laser Centre and/or ParkView Day Surgery. Please show to staff on arrival once QR code has been scanned. We also ask that you wear a mask unless you have a medical exemption.
Thank you and please be reassured that AE&LC are open and our team of friendly and professional staff are available to take your calls, answer your questions and book your appointments.
We very much look forward to helping you see all your future possibilities!
