Schedule of Fees – Consulting

Effective from 1st July 2023.

AE&LC reserves the right to amend its fees, terms and conditions at anytime.

We request full payment at the time of your appointment, and accept payment by cash, cheque, visa, MasterCard or eftpos.

For most consultations we can lodge your claim online and the rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account.

If applicable, an estimate of fees specific to your treatment (Informed Financial Consent) will be given prior to surgery. Please advise staff of any entitlements that may be applicable to you including Concession Cards, Health Fund membership and Safety Net eligibility.

The above is an approximate cost only for the consultations. If further testing or procedures are required, these will incur additional fees.

NOTE: Veterans’ Affairs card holders who are entitled to DVA medical expense rebates will not attract a patient contribution on consultations.

To understand your best laser options we provide either a tele-consultation or in-house assessment that is no cost to the participant. Provided by a skilled refractive counsellor from ParkView Day Surgery, our affiliated day surgery facility, during this appointment we are able to refine what your personal eye solution is, and provide you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Are you suitable for eye laser surgery?

Not all people are suitable for laser surgery and a thorough examination with an Ophthalmologist is necessary to determine suitability, however, there are some general guidelines and questions which can provide an initial indication of suitability.
