What is Refractive Eye Surgery?

Refractive eye surgery (commonly known as eye laser surgery), encompasses a range of procedures for virtually all refractive errors of the eye.  Alternative intraocular procedures can be explored if the more mainstream laser surgery alternatives are not suitable.

Again, these are also not suitable for everyone but where there is a strong desire to be free of optical correction using glasses or contact lenses, surgery can be considered with confidence.

Paramount to a successful outcome with any of these surgical options is a detailed assessment of the patient’s needs and expectations together with a comprehensive eye examination on which to base surgical recommendations.

We have over 25 years of experience in all facets of eye laser (refractive) surgery and a dedicated, fully accredited surgical facility and diagnostic suite, to deliver the best outcomes.

More information on the alternative procedures is available at the below links.
